Last year, our group received anonymous email tips about a neo-Nazi who we had only known by his online alias, “Hunt’wa N’wah.” (Initially, he used “Huntwa N’wah” without the first apostrophe.) One email we received provided an actual name for “Hunt’wa,” which we worked to verify. “Hunt’wa” is David Isaac Hamilton (DOB 8/24/2005). Hamilton is affiliated with the neo-Nazi cult of “Aryanity” as well as Patriot Front, a racist and fascist organization that operates nationally. Hamilton now goes by “Hunter” online. Although he is from Georgia, he may how be spending time in Tennessee.
We first encountered “Hunt’wa” during our 2023 infiltration and investigation of Southern Sons Active Club (SSAC), a white nationalist group training for violence. “Hunt’wa” had applied to join SSAC’s Georgia chapter. In our article on SSAC, we noted “Hunt’wa’s” affiliations with two other racist formations: “Aryanity” as well as Patriot Front.
Our 2023 article’s discussion of “Hunt’wa” contained two errors, which we now wish to correct. First, we stated that “Hunt’wa” was nineteen, when he was seventeen at the time of publication. The reason for this error is simple: “Hunt’wa” told others he was nineteen when applying for SSAC, which accepts members aged eighteen and over. Second, we speculated that “‘Huntwa’ seemingly lives nearer to Savannah than to Atlanta.” This was due to the location of the other SSAC members who arranged to meet with “Hunt’wa” for face-to-face vetting. In fact, David Hamilton/“Hunt’wa” was living in Augusta, Georgia at the time.
When we received tips about “Hunt’wa,” we proceeded cautiously, matching information disclosed by “Hunt’wa” (e.g., his mother’s profession) with facts about Hamilton. We also compared images of “Hunt’wa” with photos of Hamilton. This was difficult at first, as our set of “Hunt’wa” images all had the faces blurred or otherwise obscured. In November, however, “Hunt’wa” posted an image on the Telegram messaging app showing his whole face. He also appeared in a video of a white supremacist boxing/combat sports event with his chest tattoo visible and his face unobscured. These decisions by “Hunt’wa”/Hamilton suggest that he either wanted to be publicly identified as a Nazi in some display of bravado, or at least that he was unconcerned about this possibility. We cannot even rule out Hamilton himself feeding information to our organization, in a misguided bid for notoriety. Even if that scenario were true, however, we would feel obligated to warn the public about an active neo-Nazi.
When we wrote about “Hunt’wa” in 2003, we noted that he was involved with the Church of Aryanity, a neo-Nazi cult which reveres Hitler and attracts volatile individuals. As we discussed in our 2003 article on SSAC, “Hunt’wa” traveled to an Aryanity gathering earlier that year, where Aryanity leader Aaron Barret Chapman tattooed a swastika on “Hunt’wa”/Hamilton’s chest. Hamilton was seventeen at the time, which means that professional tattooer Chapman broke Kentucky regulations about underage clients, unless one of Hamilton’s parents consented for their son to receive the tattoo and accompanied him. David Hamilton has subsequently added to his chest tattoo, giving it a more “tribal” appearance, although it is still clearly a swastika. At the time of writing, Hamilton (as “Hunter”) remains a member of the Church of Aryanity group on the Telegram messaging app.
Hamilton has also remained active in Patriot Front (PF). In early November 2024, “Hunt’wa” shared the photo on Telegram that revealed his face. The image shows “Hunt’wa”/Hamilton by Lake Talquin at Hall Landing Campground in Tallahassee, Florida. Just over two months earlier, on August 31, 2024, dozens of PF members rallied in Tallahassee. PF organizer Ian Elliott had booked two sites at Hall Landing Campground for August 30th and 31st, which the organization used for camping and as a staging area. It is extremely likely that the photo of David Hamilton is from that weekend.
On the first weekend of November, PF organizer Ian Elliott hosted a “Winter Nights” gathering at his compound in eastern Tennessee featuring grappling and bareknuckle boxing fights. Photos and video footage from the event show longtime Patriot Front member Graham Whitson quickly knocking out David Hamilton in a bareknuckle fight. According to an interview that Ian Elliott later gave to the white nationalist “White Rabbit Radio” show, “Hunt’wa”/Hamilton had to go to the emergency room to get his busted lip stitched up. The fight was badly mismatched—Graham Whitson is larger and approximately a decade and a half older than Hamilton—but this imbalance appears to have been the point. The match was an opportunity for Hamilton to prove his courage and “heart” to other white supremacists, with Hamilton even boasting about his injury on Aryanity’s Telegram channel.
Apart from his presence at the “Winter Nights” gathering, David Hamilton appears to be spending time in Tennessee and may be based there. A photo we received of Hamilton last year shows a Madisonville, Tennessee business in the background. That store is approximately fifteen minutes by car from Ian Elliott’s compound in Tellico Plains, Tennessee.
Hamilton has now changed the name on his Telegram account from “Hunt’wa N’wah” to “Hunter.” As we mentioned earlier, his account remains in the group chat for the “Church of Aryanity” (Ian Elliott of Patriot Front is also involved in this Nazi grouping.) On Telegram, “Hunter” signals his continuing involvement with Patriot Front—in February this year, he posted an image to his profile showing a masked individual with a Patriot Front patch on his cap.
Since the first time we wrote about “Hunt’wa” in 2003, he has remained involved with both Aryanity and Patriot Front, with his involvement in Patriot Front deepening. We are exposing Hamilton because he is a committed neo-Nazi and may pose a threat to those around him. Although Hamilton was living in Augusta, Georgia in 2023, he may now be spending time in Tennessee—images place him at and near the Tellico Plains, Tennessee racist compound.
